Entangled The Chasing Light Series Book 1 Lewis Masters 9781791672751 Books Reviews

  • Mia culpa The author is my little brother so weight this review with that in mind.

I am a long time sci-fi reader and I've read just about everything you've probably ever heard of in the genre. This book was a lot of fun to read, it was one that kept me up late into the night. It's one of those books that is hard to put down becuase you're always being pulled forward by the story.

A pet peave of mine when it comes to hard sci-fi is that the details of the science should be at least plausible, and this book has that. The science is believable.

Overall I am proud of little bro! A lot of work went into this, and I think it came out great. I can`t wait for the the sequel!
  • Read the whole story in only a few short days. I was not able to put this down.

Near future sci-fi is so captivating to me with all of these crazy things happening in science. I really liked all of the characters and the way the timeline moved. Jumping months or a few years was necessary to deliver some of the real projects they were working on.

Can't wait for the follow up.

Part of my enjoyment of this book, comes after reading Artemis and The Martian by Andy Weir. Lots of space travel and a great story of how some of the technology came about.
  • I was a little disappointed that no one really left the planet, but this was a good read and held my attention well. It had just enough science to keep it interesting and was well thought out and well written. I liked the last line of the book, (same comment as the president in "Independence Day"). Good job; thank you
  • This story gradually builds tension as a small California tech outfit tries to develop instantaneous communications and FTL. The closer they get, the more they are in jeopardy of losing it to other players. Some very likable characters. I look forward to the next book in this series.
  • Believable characters, fast action and it was intune with my way of thinking about a science fiction plot.
  • If you are into science fiction this is worth checking out.
  • The science and technology were way over my head, but loved the characters and action. Looking forward to the next book.
